Hispanic Federation, Partners Distribute More Than $1,140,000 To Over 1,900 Florida Farmworkers Who Incurred Pandemic-Related Health Expenses

Hispanic Federation (HF) held a press conference and toured a farm in Plant City, Florida to announce that, since March 2023, it has distributed more than $1,140,000 to over 1,900 Florida farmworkers who incurred pandemic-related health and safety costs.

Hispanic Federation Reacts to Expiration of Title 42, New DHS Rule Creating Barriers to Asylum

In response to the expiration of Title 42 and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s new rule that bars immigrants arriving at the border from seeking asylum, Frankie Miranda, President and CEO of Hispanic Federation, issued the following statement: “Title 42 was a deadly, Trump-era policy that used men, women, and children fleeing civil strife, violence, and turmoil as political pawns while leaving them in limbo as they sought refuge in the U.S. Its expiration is long-overdue.

On Tuesday, May 2, the Florida legislature passed a bill targeting the immigrant community. In response, Hispanic Federation’s Florida State Director Laudi Campo released the following statement: "Earlier this week a dangerous law was passed by the Florida legislature which blatantly targets and criminalizes undocumented immigrants. .

Hispanic Federation Statement on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals SB90 Decision

“We are beyond disappointed by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals decision. Reversing the district court’s decision means that voter discrimination and voter suppression will be lawful in Florida. The ongoing attacks by the state legislature on the rights of immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and the black and brown residents of the state of Florida make it clear that this is another attempt at diminishing our collective rights.

Hispanic Federation Raises More Than $3 Million At Star-Studded Benefit Gala

Hispanic Federation (HF), the nation’s premier Latino nonprofit membership organization, celebrated its annual star-studded gala, chaired by Lin-Manuel Miranda, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City last night. New Poll Shows Dead Heat Between Candidates with Differences Among Black, Latino, White Voters

With one week remaining until Chicago’s mayoral runoff election on April 4, Northwestern University’s Center for the Study of Diversity and Democracy (CSDD) and a coalition of Black and Latino nonprofits released the results of a second nonpartisan poll. The poll shows candidates Brandon Johnson and Paul Vallas in a neck-and-neck race to the finish line. Coalition members include Hispanic Federation, Illinois Black Advocacy Initiative, Latino Policy Forum and Latino Victory Project.
