HF, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Family Distribute Toys for Three Kings Day in Puerto Rico and Mainland

At more than 40 community events across Puerto Rico, children who have been affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria are celebrating Three Kings Day this year with more than 36,000 toys purchased and donated by Toys“R”Us® customers. Displaced Puerto Ricans in the mainland U.S. will also be excited to unwrap an additional 3,000 donated toys at Three Kings Day events in select cities across the country.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Toys“R”Us®, Telemundo, Hispanic Federation, and R.Evolución Latina are partnering to bring toys and smiles to the thousands of children affected by Hurricane Maria this Three Kings Day with the launch of Toys 4 Puerto Rico. HF Launches $2.5 Million Amanece / Road to Recovery Fund to Power Long Term Puerto Rico Recovery Efforts

Award-winning actor, composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, in conjunction with the Hispanic Federation, today announced that the organization is taking applications for a $2.5 million fund to seed innovative nonprofit projects that aim to build a stronger and more resilient Puerto Rico from island-based groups. The first seven grant recipients include: Beta Local, Centro de Microempresas y Tecnologías Agrícolas de Yauco (CMTAS), Centros Sor Isolina Ferre (CSIF), The ENLACE Caño Martin Peña Project, Para la Naturaleza, Programa de Educación Comunal de Entrega y Servicio, Inc. (PECES), and Protectores de Cuencas Inc.
