The civil rights movement, racism, segregation, Afro-Latino representation, the American prison complex, queer theory, and everything associated with the African American experience is American History, and we cannot allow elected leaders to politicize its education in our schools.

Hispanic Federation: El Congreso tene que hacerle frente a los intereses de los cabilderos de la industria de armas y empezar a salvar vidas

Apenas han pasado 24 días del 2023 y ya hemos sido testigos de 39 instancias de tiroteos masivos y 1,214 muertes por armas de fuego. En otras palabras, ha habido más tiroteos masivos que la cantidad de días en este año. Cada una de estas tragedias pudo haber sido evitada con políticas sensibles de control de armas.

Hispanic Federation Praises Advocates, Illinois State Legislature for Passing Assault Weapons Ban

Illinois state lawmakers stayed grounded in common sense, as well as courage and empathy, in their move to ban assault weapons from our communities. For Latinos in particular, gun violence hits close to home: gun deaths in Latino communities have increased at almost twice the rate of gun deaths nationally.

Newly arrived asylum seekers celebrated their first Three Kings Day in the United States at a dinner Thursday hosted by Hispanic Federation. Newly arrived asylum seekers joined Hispanic Federation leaders at the Julia de Burgos Performance & Arts Center in East Harlem where they were provided meals, gifts, and entertainment.
