Google.org: Supporting Digital Skilling in Latino Communities

Google.org began funding the work of the Hispanic Federation in the wake of Hurricane Maria's devastating impact in Puerto Rico, and over time has been impressed not only by the reach, impact and depth of the Federation's work, but also by how proximate it is as an organization to the communities it serves. Google.org’s $2M grant to the Hispanic Federation enables Latino-led organizations to provide workforce development and digital skilling programs that create more equitable access to opportunities in the digital economy for the Latino community.

As economic opportunity lead for the Americas at Google.org, Hector Mujica forms innovative partnerships to advance digital employment skills for Latinos working in tech. A donor to the Hispanic Federation, Hector is also a member of the Federation's Board of Directors.
