More than 600 people joined Hispanic Federation at the first virtual Puerto Rican Day in Tallahassee to set a legislative agenda for Florida’s Puerto Rican Community and advocate on behalf of the one million Puerto Ricans in the state. Conference participants directly engaged with community leaders and elected officials to discuss legislation pertaining to the Puerto Rican community. The conference was streamed on our social media platforms, where it reached an additional 3,000+ viewers, showcasing videos of the Puerto Rican diaspora's contribution to the Sunshine State.
Puerto Rico Day in Tallahassee was established in 1999 to ensure that all Florida Legislature members have access to the Puerto Rican community. This year the free and virtual event aims to engage and give a united voice to the 1.1 million Puerto Ricans living in Florida.
